Classes and format

YoungLabs courses are built around live teaching, clear schedules, and flexible catch-up when life gets busy. Here is how classes work day to day.

Are YoungLabs classes live or recorded?

All classes are live one-on-one or small-group online sessions with a real teacher. Recordings are available in the parent dashboard after each class.

How long is each class?

Most courses run 30-45 minutes per session, 2-3 times a week. Exact duration depends on the course; check the course page for details.

What if my child misses a class?

You can reschedule any missed class through the parent dashboard, subject to teacher availability.

Teachers and matching

Teacher quality and fit matter as much as the curriculum. These answers cover how matching works and what you can request.

How do you match my child to a teacher?

Based on your child's age, skill level, and learning style — assessed in the free trial class. If the first match isn't working, we re-match at no cost.

Can I request a specific teacher?

Yes — if a teacher is available and their schedule fits yours, we're happy to prioritise your request.

What are your teachers' qualifications?

All YoungLabs teachers are trained instructors with subject-matter expertise. Handwriting teachers, for example, are certified in structured handwriting instruction methods.

What do I need to attend a YoungLabs class?

A laptop or tablet with camera and microphone, stable internet, and Zoom. For handwriting classes, a notebook and pencils are essential.

Is a tablet OK for my child?

Yes. iPad or Android tablet works. For handwriting classes, use a physical notebook and pencil (not a stylus) so your child develops correct grip and pressure.

For families outside India

YoungLabs teaches many children living outside India. Timezones and language courses are planned so overseas families can stay consistent.

Do you teach families based abroad?

Yes — 30% of our parents are based in the Gulf, US, UK, and Southeast Asia. Classes are scheduled to match your local timezone.

Can international students take Hindi or Tamil classes?

Absolutely. Many overseas families join specifically to help their children maintain Hindi, Tamil, or other Indian languages.
